It’s common knowledge how pregnancy and motherhood can affect the female body, but you may be surprised to know that some of the same changes occur in men as well.

When a woman is pregnant she stops drinking and must eat more since she has another little human inside of her. Oftentimes men will follow suit and eat more which may also lead to weight gain. During pregnancy, especially if it is a difficult pregnancy, and after childbirth families find themselves busier and men pitching in to help more.

All of these factors lead to less time for self-care, weight gain, and even the dreaded dad bod. It’s important that we all take care of our bodies and health, even dads. So now, more than ever, “Daddy-Do-Overs” are trending.

A 2018 report released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) reported that there were 1.3 million cosmetic procedures performed on men alone.

While in women we often discuss tummy tucks and breast augmentation for “Mommy Makeovers”, in men the cosmetic procedures involve liposuction for the male muffin top or lipo/surgery combo that includes the area around the male breasts.

Remember, this weight gain and transformation doesn’t happen overnight – one pound a month adds up quick. If you find yourself needing a change, or a boost in confidence the “Daddy-Do-Over” might be for you.
